Autumn has arrived. This spring when the first batch of apple blossomed, Zach and I have bookmarked all the best apple and pear trees around woodlands. We foraged tons of apples this year and had to make some apple tarts. This is a recipe based on Mary Berry’s apple tart recipe where biscuit bases are used instead of traditional pastry case. This little change made the final product incredibly light as well as kids cooking friendly. If you like Bake Well tart, a traditional English tart normally filled with layers of jam and almond paste (frangipane), you have to give this recipe a try.
